HERITAGE OPEN DAY

 

St Michael's Church Heritage Open Day took place on Saturday 9th September between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.  Our historic Church has taken part in this national festival of history for many years and we welcomed a good number of people who had the opportunity to have a tour around our Grade II* listed building and grounds.

The activities on the day included:

​

  • Parish registers from 1930’s onwards.

  • Walk round our ancient church yard.

  • Climb the spiral staircase to the ringing room.

  • Timeline and children’s quiz

  • Old photographs and maps of Flixton

  • Various historic displays

  • Refreshments available all day
